Asking Sophie questions
How to get the most out of conversations with Sophie.
Asking Sophie questions
Sophie works like a helpful colleague you can message anytime. Open the Conversations section from the left-hand menu and start typing. This guide shares a few tips to help you get useful answers fast.
Starting a conversation
- Click Conversations in the left-hand menu.
- Type your question or request in the box at the bottom of the screen.
- Press Enter to send.
Sophie replies in a moment. You can keep the conversation going by typing follow-up questions — Sophie remembers the context of your current chat.
What you can ask
Sophie is great at everyday advisor tasks. Here are some examples:
- Client summaries — "Give me a quick summary of [client name]."
- Recent activity — "What's changed with [client name] lately?"
- Schedule help — "What does my day look like tomorrow?"
- Document lookups — "Find the latest plan I shared with [client name]."
- Drafting — "Help me draft a follow-up email to [client name] after our meeting."
If Sophie isn't sure where to find something, it will ask a clarifying question.
Tips for good questions
- Be specific. Mention the client, the time frame, or the document you have in mind.
- One thing at a time. Sophie does best with a single, focused question.
- Give context. A line like "for tomorrow's meeting" helps Sophie tailor the answer.
- Ask for the format you want. For example, "in a short bulleted list" or "as a paragraph."
Keeping things organized
Each conversation is saved in the Conversations list. You can:
- Start a new conversation for a new topic.
- Return to an earlier conversation to pick up where you left off.
- Rename a conversation so it's easy to find later.
What Sophie won't do
Sophie is built to help with everyday tasks and summaries. It won't make financial decisions for you, and it shouldn't be relied on for professional advice without review. Always use your judgment for anything that affects a client's financial situation.
