Understanding connectors

What connectors are and how they help Sophie work with your existing tools.

Understanding connectors

Connectors let Sophie securely connect to the tools and data sources you already use. Once a connector is set up, Sophie can pull in relevant information automatically — so you spend less time switching between apps and copying things by hand.

Why connectors matter

Most advisors use several tools day to day: a CRM for client records, a calendar for scheduling, and a document store for client files. Without connectors, you'd have to look up the same information in multiple places.

With connectors, Sophie can bring the right context into your conversations. For example:

  • Ask Sophie for a summary of a client and get details from your CRM.
  • Ask what's coming up this week and see calendar events alongside client notes.
  • Ask Sophie to find a document and have it surface results from your document storage.

Kinds of connectors

Sophie supports several kinds of connectors. A few examples:

  • CRM integrations — pull in client records, contact details, and notes from your customer relationship management tool.
  • Calendar — see upcoming meetings and appointments so Sophie can help with scheduling.
  • Document storage — let Sophie search and summarize files you've saved elsewhere.

Available connectors may grow over time. To see the current list, open Connectors from the left-hand menu in Sophie.

Security and privacy

Connectors are set up with your permission and use secure, authorized access. Sophie only retrieves information you've approved, and you can disconnect a connector at any time. See Setting up a connector to get started.

If you ever suspect a connector is misbehaving or you no longer want Sophie to reach a particular tool, you can remove it from the Connectors page.
